Dear Family,
My thanks to all, “Pa,” “Mom”, John, Tom and “little Ellen” for your Happy Birthday card.
Only five sat down this year – Uncle John, Mr. and Mrs. Langdon of G.E., Aunt Florence and myself.
My sister cooked up a fine meal, a rib roast, three vegetables and ending with ice cream and a huge angel-cake, white icing topped with many candles but fewer than eighty-five! Started at six ending at 7:30. Cards were passed around, gifts opened then we sat on porch till nine and to bed at ten.

P.S. – I think that Tom could have taken a “second helping” along with others.
P.S. Uncle Jim didn’t show up but arrived here at four – Eating at “Chilhowie” – Taking over three big cuts of birthday cake.
