- September 11, 1929 – John W. MacDonald, Clerk, Court of Claims, Albany) to JSA
Dear Sir:
We are sending you with this letter the calendar of the Court of Claims for the Albany Term, beginning September 23, 1929. Calendar call will be held at the Court Room of the Court of Claims, Room 250, the Capitol, Albany, New York, on Monday September 23, 1929 at ten A.M.
The Court feels obligated to insist that attorneys shall appear personally or by their representatives at calendar call, to answer to the claims which they represent.
If attorneys do not appear personally or by their representatives at calendar call the Court will, in the case of claims duly noted for trial by the Attorney General, entertain motions to dismiss said claims if made by the Attorney General in other than appropriation claims, and in case of appropriation claims will entertain applications by the Attorney General to put said claims down for trial and to take the testimony of the State therein, as authorized by Section 24 of the Court of Claims Act (formerly Section 284 of the Code of Civil Procedure.)
Very truly yours,
John W. MacDonald, Clerk
