Dear Sir:

Your letter of October 24, with regard to settlement of case of trespass consisting of the removal of trees from State land on Turtle and Mohican Islands last spring, is received.

For your information I will say that this case was settled by payment of three times the stumpage value plus $10 per tree. These are the penalties provided by the Conservation Law.
