October 26, 1929 – JSA to Dr. J. Howard Melish

  • October 26, 1929 – JSA to Dr. J. Howard Melish

My dear Dr. Melish:

You might be interested in reading the attached letter from President Green, dated October 23rd, and Commodore Barr’s letter of September 25th, indicating part of my effort to keep the pressure up until some of the Forest Preserve appropriations, now being exhausted, are used for the acquisitions of the Paradise Bay land.

It is barely possible that you know John Sullivan. If you do, it would probably assist him to have some idea of me and my purpose before I explain the situation to him.

His Secretary in Albany has acted, but before going very far, he will no doubt await instructions from Mr. Sullivan.

Hoping you are enjoying good health, and with sincere best wishes to yourself and your family,

Cordially yours,

JSApperson
