- October 13, 1929 – Hilda Loines to JSA-
Dear Appy,
I found a copy of the Mirror you wanted and sent it to you yesterday.
Can you stir up the Highway Department to end some men up here? The recent winter storm makes us want to start the woodcutting as soon as possible.
Mr. Hopkins was here yesterday but had no definite proposition to submit to us, as we had asked him for on his previous visit. We had asked him to submit several propositions to us, but if the State takes the land it should pay us a fair price because we could get a much higher price for building sites than for the value of the timber.
In haste,
Sincerely, Hilda Loines
