- October 11, 1929 – JSA to C. Everette Bacon (25 Broad Street, NYC) –
Dear Mr. Bacon:
The attached original letter from Mr. Reynolds, dated October 10th, seems to confirm that Recluse Island is for sale. I have the impression that it is held jointly by several people, including Mr. Lee Haywood, who was at one time with our Company.
I view of this, I may be able to follow the preliminary negotiations to an advantage, and if you care to have me act, I will proceed accordingly.
A cash offer would no doubt be the most effective.
Cordially yours,
JSApperson
