- May 5, 1929 – Mary H. Loines to JSA – postcard –
Dear Mr. Apperson:
I was very sorry to refuse your invitation but I had a very wakeful night. I had been waiting more than an hour for a much needed rest – so felt I could not take the lake trip. I appreciated your coming up on purpose all this distance. Did you receive a check I sent you early in March for payment of tax? It was not among my April vouchers. I have not seen my May statement yet, and it may be among those vouchers. But if it has gone astray, please advise me and I will duplicate it. Yours sincerely,
Mary H. Loines
