March 11, 1930 – JSA to Ovid Butler (American Forestry Assn. )

  • March 11, 1930 – JSA (?) to Mr. Ovid Butler (Ex Sec. – American Forestry Association, Washington, DC) –

Dear Mr. Butler:

The pending legislation to encourage commercial lumbering in the recreation areas of the Adirondacks is of such great importance to us here that it is disappointing to learn from your letter of the 8th that your organization cannot advise people like myself who are very busy with other matters.

Possibly you can tell of some organization which does take a definite and firm stand on such forestry questions that now face us in this State.

I would appreciate your assistance in this connection and remain

Cordially yours,

JSApperson
