March 1, 1929 – JSA to Theodore Anthony

  • March 1, 1929 – JSA to Theodore Anthony bill to rename the high peaks

Dear Anthony:

I have just read with interest your letter of the 27th and enclosed bill. I will endeavor to get the bill to the Governor’s attention in a favorable way. He has so many demands on his time that I do not wonder that he is “inapproachable.” On account of this I have delayed seeing him for several months on a matter which he is very deeply interested in. I am sure his heart is in the right place, but no doubt it is physically impossible to give everything the attention it deserves.

I am glad you are keeping up your pressure and I wish I could do more to help you win your fight.

Cordially yours,

JSApperson
