June 8, 1954 – Lynton K. Caldwell (Syracuse Univ.) to Irving Langmuir

  • June 8, 1954 – Lynton K. Caldwell (Professor of Political Science – Syracuse University) to Dr. Irving Langmuir –

Dear Dr. Langmuir:

It was indeed a pleasure to be a guest in your home for the Twentieth Annual Meeting of the Forest Preserve Association and I was glad to have an opportunity to present briefly the program of Nature Conservancy in Eastern New York State.

As you requested, I am enclosing a leaflet describing in more detail the works of the Conservancy. I think that it is directly in line with the purpose of the Forest Preserve Association and not only should support its objectives but provide a means for extending the work which the Association has done to other areas in the State.

Very sincerely,

Lynton K. Caldwell

Professor of Political Science
