February 26, 1931 – Ellwood Rabenold (Rabenold & Scribner, Attorneys) to JSA
My dear Apperson:
We received your telegram this morning and have copied the survey made by the State Reforestation Commission in 1928 as transmitted to me by Mr. William G. Howard, Superintendent of Lands and Forests in the Conservation Department. Mr. Howard in his letter to me of February 19 described this as “a copy of the acreage of land available for reforesting as shown by the data gathered by the Reforestation Commission in 1928.”
We enclose a copy of this copy and are sending you as well 25 copies of the brief submitted yesterday before the Senate Judiciary on behalf of the New York Fish, Game and Forest League.
I am writing Senator Fearon to inquire through the secretary of his Judicial Committee what the cost would be of 3 copies of the transcription of the stenographer’s minutes taken at the hearing yesterday.
Very sincerely,
Ellwood Rabenold
