- February 24, 1931 – Marie Ulior, NYC, to Hon. Alexander Baxter (Albany)
Dear Sir:
I am writing to congratulate you upon the Reforestation Bill #814 which you are presenting to the Senate this week and to say that I hope it will be well supported.
It seems to have none of the objectionable clauses of the Hewitt bill #33 which would allow lumbering on any lands hereafter acquired within the forest preserve counties ( if outside the park area) in direct opposition to the present conservation policy and to the original purpose in purchasing the present state land in those counties.
Wishing you all success in the passage of your reforestation measure. I am
Very truly yours,
Marie L. Ulior (?)
