July 13, 1937 – JSA to Henry Baldwin

Dear Mr. Baldwin:

We are overwhelmed at present for two important meetings, and I will have to acknowledge you letter of the 10th and try to locate the information you request sometime later. Since our pleasure was in the preparation and the climb, records more incidental, and therefore not very complete, but in all probability I will be bale to find some material that might be of interest to you. Possibly I should add that doing things ahead of other people never interested us that very much, but doing things beneficially and therefore successfully has always made a strong appeal to us.

I am glad you favor ski trails that do not destroy the wild charm of the Forest Preserve, enjoyed by skiers and non-skiers.

Sincerely yours,

JSApperson
