- December 18, 1936 – Oliver F. Allen to Editor of the Schenectady Union Star Dear Sir:
Permit me to congratulate you for printing Mr. Apperson’s clear statement about Trails in Forests on page 28 of your December 17, 1936 issue. There is a tremendous amount of interest regarding skiing everywhere now and particularly in the metropolitan area. I regret that Mr. Apperson’s article did not appear in one of the metropolitan dailies where more people in New York City could have read it.
Very truly yours,
Oliver F. Allen
Post script – to Apperson “I gave the clipping to the publicity man I mentioned last evening and I am sure it will be put to good use.”
