1924 – September 25 – Hilda Loines (Kingsley Hotel in London) to JSA

Dear Appy –

Your letter just came to day. Thank you so much for it, and isn’t it good about the Tongue Mountain properties. I hope you’ll do as well about our road.

This is just a scrawl as we sail to-morrow on the Ohio – Royal Mail Steam Packet boat – but this ought to get to you quicker via the Aquitania.

We’ve had a fine summer but it will be good to be home again. We shall hope to get up to the lake within a week.

Best regards to everyone – You should have seen Sylvia skiing on the Jungfrau in August. We can’t quite do that at the lake! Your sisters send their love and we hope to see you soon –

Sincerely,
Hilda Loines
