- August 29, 1956 – Resolution adopted by the Board of Governors of Nature Conservancy at Annual Meeting, Storrs, Connecticut, August 29, 1956, in connection with the Dome Island maintenance fund.
RESOLVED: that funds of the Nature Conservancy necessary to complete a $20,000.00 endowment fund for Dome Island be ear-marked for that purpose, with the understanding that the Dome Island Committee will continue its efforts to raise endowment funds, and that the repayment of the ear-marked funds will be the first charge on the additional funds raised.
