Dear Sir:

Your letter of August 26, stating that the Adirondack Lodge Ski Bulletin advertises that the trip through Lake Colden can be made as an overnight stop,” is received.

This is the first I knew that such a statement appeared in the bulletin in question, and I have been unable to find anyone in this office who had seen this statement until just now when a copy of the bulletin was obtained and carefully checked.

The statement was made without the knowledge or approval of anyone connected with the Conservation Department, and I am today communicating with the publisher of the bulletin asking that there be no further distribution of any of these bulletins containing this statement.

Sincerely yours,

Lithgow Osborne

Commissioner
