My dear Apperson:
I thought of you immediately when I read this morning of Mrs. Loines’ death. She was a good friend of Lake George, and of yours; so, too her whole family. Let us hope that the younger generation will keep some of the fervor which the elders showed.
The legislature seemed to be interested in the water level of the Lake, to the extent at least of giving the Sherman Committee more time to make its final report. I was glad to receive the folder,
