Dear Mr. Apperson:
Thank you a thousand times for the beautiful view of Lake George. If I in any small way have aided in preserving some of the bordering forests on the shores of this gem of the lakes, it is a source of satisfaction.
I propose to have the picture framed with the inscription which is attached to it. I wish, however, you would sign it; for I should like to point to Lake and Protector at the same time. When you come my way sometime, will you not be good enough to add your name to the inscription?
