Dear Mr. Apperson:
Thank you for yours of September 17th enclosing copy of your letter to Mr. Leach. I assume this was written before you were able to see the Governor if our hopes were realized in that particular. I had not heard that Mr. Leach was planning a trip South at this time.
I shall probably have to run up to Lake Placid for a day or two at the end of the week and some ten days later I shall be leaving for the most of the month for a trip that may include Detroit – Edison Pioneers Gathering – as well as Washington and Hampton.
I am sorry not to have time free to see you this week. Perhaps if you are passing this way early next week, you might telephone and let me know.
