1924 – Resolution from the State Council of Parks

  • 1924 – Resolution:

Resolved: That it is the judgment of the State Council of Parks that the efficient administration of funds for the purchase of land for park purposes requires that responsibilities for the selection of lands and their location continue to rest upon the present or future departments or commissions created for that purpose and which are best qualified to assemble the facts necessary for a decision to secure the properties most suitable for park use at low prices. The Council of Parks therefore desires to record its protest against the proposed division of the Forest Preserve Fund appropriated by specific allocation by the Legislature.
